On Thursday, Seaport Research Partners, an esteemed analyst firm, upgraded its recommendation for SPHR stock, shifting the rating from “Neutral” to “Buy” while maintaining a steady price target of $38.
In a recent development, Sphere Entertainment (SPHR) disclosed the pricing of $225 million aggregate principal amount for its 3.50% convertible senior notes due in 2028. These notes were made available through a private offering exclusively to individuals deemed qualified institutional buyers.
Sphere Entertainment has accorded the initial purchasers an option to acquire an additional $33.75 million aggregate principal amount of the notes within a 13-day settlement period. The offering commenced on the issuance date of the notes and is expected to conclude, along with the capped call transactions, on December 8, 2023, contingent upon customary closing conditions.
The forthcoming notes, constituting general senior unsecured obligations of SPHR, will yield interest semi-annually on June 1 and December 1 of each calendar year, starting from June 1, 2024, at a rate of 3.50% per annum. The maturity date for these notes is set for December 1, 2028, unless redeemed, repurchased, or converted earlier in compliance with their stipulated terms.
In another strategic move, Sphere Entertainment has entered into a new partnership with PATH, the preeminent provider of reusable, refillable, and recyclable aluminum bottled water. SPHR has designated PATH as the exclusive supplier of unflavored still water for Sphere, the innovative entertainment venue inaugurated in Las Vegas in September 2023.
Specially branded Sphere x PATH reusable aluminum water bottles are now available at all SPHR events, including concession stands, grab-and-go stations, 23 suites, and backstage areas. Additionally, PATH’s visibility will be prominently showcased on the venue’s Exosphere, an iconic feature in the Las Vegas skyline and a viral sensation on social media, emphasizing the significance of reducing single-use plastics.
